The first in the exciting new supernatural spy series by bestselling authors, J.R. Rain and A.K. Alexander! The first book in a completed 4-part series!
Audial telepath Kylie Cain works for a black ops branch of the United States government, called PSI (Psychic Sensory Intelligence). When a faction of rogue operatives who call themselves World Order Now kidnap eleven-year-old Hope Mitchell—a powerful girl who may be the link to other worlds—Kylie feels immediately drawn to the girl’s energy, and vows to save her.
Her elite team of psychic spies soon discover that not only is Hope Mitchell an audial telepath, too, but the girl has another special gift—a gift that could change the courses of the past, present and future. A gift that could open up worlds...and destroy them.

This trilogy is basically what would appear to be the size of one average-sized novel, split into three books. And this first story ends at what feels like the end of a chapter instead of the end of a book in a series. Is it worth it? Not to me, neither price-wise nor with the chopped stories. Perhaps once the third book comes out they’ll do another release with all three stories in it.The basis of this first book—a psychic group within the CIA that is so secret it’s believed that not even the president is aware it exists—is an intriguing idea. A young girl with strong psychic abilities is kidnapped and the group is sent to rescue her before she’s forced to do something that could change history.
I did like the characters and what they can do as well as the situations they face. The story is told from two points of view. Hope, the young girl that was kidnapped, and Kylie, a woman within the PSI group sent to rescue Hope. Both have the ability to hear conversations anywhere and there is some commonality in their experiences.
We really don’t know a whole lot about any of them, and at this point, not even sure who to trust. That’s both cool and part of the problem. We don’t know enough about the characters much less the relationship and back history of the PSI group, and that lack of depth makes it feel like we’re being told a story instead of experiencing it while reading the book. Perhaps that changes as the story progresses in future releases.
I won’t be picking up the next installment, but if they ever come out with all three stories released into one book, I would like to see what happens.

Hear No Evil The PSI Series Book 1 eBook JR Rain AK Alexander Reviews
Once again I have found a good book in this story. I found it hard to put it down until the end.
I love anything written by J R Rain. Impossible to put down with that sharp edge intensity that does not allow you to put the book down and wakes you up at 4 am to finish said book. This book has CIA espionage, counterintelligence, science fiction all rolled into one. I cannot wait for the next book to be released. Great reading for those 15 years and older.
Great book once you start reading you can't stop reading. I love the PSI Team, Ky, Ayden, and Noah even when they are not trusting each other they are still in tune with each other. From the first sentence they capture you and the take you on an adventure all the way through to the last sentence. The only thing bad I have to say about it was went by way to fast and left me wanting more.
Really great, fast & fun ride! I really loved the psychic aspect. It was fascinating to me. I loved how each character had their own talents were grouped together so they complimented & enhanced each other. I also liked how their talents were like parts of their characters.
I loved the sexual tension & all of the fun flirting that was there. I loved that there was depth to it, as well. I respected that. Loved the characters in so many ways. The humor was great, as was the intelligence & dialogue. It was a really total blast. There was also some intense, edge of your seat action with great surprises thrown in.
I cannot wrap my brain around how some people have such talent that they can spin a complex web of themes together to enthrall their audience. Man, I wish I had that talent. I don't but I can certainly appreciate this gift in others like I did in this book. I bow to the authors!
I blew through this book in 1 day. That's rare for me but I got so caught up in it. I loved how I got to see what a few of the characters were thinking & feeling. I did wish that I could go also go inside of Aidan, Noah & Simms' heads as well. There was 1 plot point that I was not happy with but I loved everything else so much that I decided to suspend my belief & go for the ride. I'm glad I did.
I knew going in that this book was part of a series but I was seriously disappointed when it ended! I was hoping each book in the series would resolve an entire mystery &/or maybe use a different character's POV, etc. BUT this book only solved part of this immense web of mysteries. Now, how am I supposed to go on without the next book being ready to answer my questions!? I recommend this book!
It would be a good story if the author knew how to write a book. It's a really big cliffhanger,so i bought the second one,and that's a cliffhanger, and guess what, there is no third book. It's called a Trilogy, but there is no book 3,and no mention if one will ever be written.I liked the Idea of the story, just let down how poorly this ,so called author is. Hope she keeps her day job.
That's how we are left with unanswered questions, plot threads dangling, characters who may or may not be who they claim to be. Pretty good Sci-Fi, interesting premise, good pace, semi-realistic psychic powers described and used in a way new to the genre. Yes, buy this book, but you might want to check to see when the next book in the series will be released so you don't end up hanging from that cliff too long.
Kylie is part of a special team in the CIA called PSI - Psychic Sensory Intelligence... It is for people with special gifts. Kylie is an Audial which means she can hear conversations from thousands of miles away. They are sent on a mission to find a child who is also an Audial. Hope. Well when Kylie, Noah and Ayden find hope they learn secrets that their boss would rather stay hidden. They learn that Hope is being held captive by the very same woman who had kidnapped Kylie when she was a child.
My Opinion
I loved this! I love any book that has a paranormal aspect in it. I have loved everything that I have read by both J.R. Rain and A.K. Alexander and this book was no different. In my opinion this was a thrilling book filled with deceit, a bit of romance and danger at every turn. I definitely recommend reading.
